Spicy Green Chutney

Mint plus cilantro chutney is an excellent condiment / dip that goes so well with many appetizers. You can make this and store in the refrigerator and it will remain good for 10-12 days. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Bunch Mint
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro (Note: Cilantro will always be double the quantity of Mint) 
  • 1 Medium Size Onion
  • 1-2 Green Chili (can leave for non spicy dip) 
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 Tsp sugar 
  • Salt to taste (can use rock salt for even better taste) 
  • 1/4 Tsp Dry Mango Powder (optional)
  • 1/4 Tsp Chaat Masala (optional) 
  • Note: Adjust lemon juice to bit less if using Dry Mango Powder or Chaat Masala

Directions

  1. Wash and pat dry the cilantro and mint leaves
  2. In a blender blend the leaves, onion, spices and lemon juice as mentioned in ingredients 
  3. If needed add 1/2 to 1/tbsp water to blend. Do not add more otherwise chutney will be too watery
